Interview Question: How to persuade someone to trade your nickel for their quarter?
Seriosuly, I had an interview last week and they asked:
"Pretend my name is Joe and I have a quarter. I want you to try to persuade me to trade my quarter for your nickel"
Even the guy said is was stupid. So, if I was to get a question like this again, how would I answer it?
It would have helped if they said trade my 2001 Honda Civic for your 2005 Chevy Silverado. I would have answered with "it's a gas saver"
But seriously, how would you answer this question?
I would say,"The value of this nickel is a fifth of the value of your quarter right now but the value of your quarter is declining and quickly. the value of this nickel here is growing RAPIDLY. By this time next year, your big nickel there will only be worth half of my nickel here but by this time next year, my nickel will be worth 10 times your shiny quarter there. So, whats better instant gratification or nurtured wealth?"
