How do you reserve energy so I can run 3 miles?
Hi, I'm 195 pounds and 5'9 I was wondering if there is some sort of secret or key to being able to run 3 miles without brakes? Thanks.
run 1 mile 6 days a week for 3 weeks, then change 2 of those runs to 2 mile runs and do that schedule for 2 weeks. Then change all of the runs to 2 mile runs. After 3 more weeks, change 2 of those runs to 3 mile runs, you see what I mean.
***********The secret to "pacing" for the 3 mile is to go out at a pace that you know you will be able to maintain for the whole distance. That is the secret of a good runner, "knowing one's limits and how to push them by getting close."
