BMW E46 power seats - how do i fit them?
Hello All,
I've just picked up a full set of leather power seats for a bmw e46 2004 sports coupe because i got them really cheap.
i currently have clothed sports seats but they arnt powered, they have manual adjusters.. i've had a quick look and i can see that the new front seats will fit straight on the existing rails, and the back seats just clip in.
The question i have is how can i get power to these seats so i can adjust them? has anyone done this before, i can see its just a possitive and negative but how do i connect them? any information would be greatly appreciated...
The power seats should NOT only have power connection.
It has key memory function - that means, depending on the remote/key you use to unlock the door, it will self adjust to the user.
But, if it's simply power you need, it is easy enough to run a fresh power line from the battery (please don't forget an in-line fuse) since you'll be removing the rear seats anyway.
