I received a humorous email the other day about a golf book for the average golfer. Looking through the chapter list I have to admit that this book seems like it was written specifically for me (well, I am sure it also is fitting for about 95% of the golfers out there). I competed in my first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (grappling) tournament August 23rd in Davenport Iowa. The tournament was the Sasquatch Open . It was a great learning experience and I had a great time competing. I ended up placing third in the 205 lbs and under novice gi division. Des Moines Jiu Jitsu Academy where I train brought seven competitors and we took home five gold medals, one silver, and two bronze. Even though we brought a small group we ended up taking first place in the team overall and received a team trophy.
